Our Final Stop In Thailand

After our two weeks on the island of Koh Mak, we had to come back to the mainland for a few days before we crossed the border into Cambodia, we only booked a place for 3 nights and we needed it to be near as possible to Trat where we will get a bus to the border…and of all the places we’ve stayed this is my favourite. We didn’t expect it, and of all the places we’ve been to in Thailand I’m so glad our final stop was here. From our previous posts you can probably gather that we are eager to get to Cambodia as we feel that we have done Thailand but to end it here is just perfect.

IMG_0981IMG_0982The BanPu Resort and Spa is a beautiful hotel built over and around water, we have our own little terrace, the room is beautiful and we are as ever loving the free toiletries. We  have air con, wi fi and free water in the fridge, and also free bicycles, which we took out for a spin today and  very much enjoyed, although we would definitely be classed as nervous riders! The hotel will also drive you to Trat to visit the market etc, and the driver will wait for you until you’re ready to come back, and when we asked if they could book us a taxi to the bus station, they said they would drive us for free…what service!! There is also a pool and we seem to be the only ones here so its all ours, so we have spent the last two days doing what we do best…relaxing.

Some places that you visit you can feel just a little bit stressed as soon as you arrive, small rooms, communal bathrooms or on a busy road, but here as soon we put our bags down we felt relaxed…this place doesn’t necessarily scream Thailand it could be anywhere really, but what it does have is peace and quiet and wonderful place for us to reflect on our time away so far and get ourselves all geared up for our first boarder crossing into Cambodia!!!!
